A lot of young people cross my path and some occasionally share their surprise at becoming pregnant unexpectedly. However, they note that their intimate moment occurred in what is commonly considered the “safe” part – during their period.
What I was to learn long after taking biology class is there is an Estrogen Spike during the period portion of our menstrual cycle and if it is high enough an egg may be released. See “Baby Maker?! (below).
